Education Engineering Department(EED):

Education is the backbone of the nation. No nation can prosper without education. Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman created the present Department of Education Engineering in 1972 by forming an engineering unit with the aim of rebuilding and repairing post-war educational institutions. After independence, Bangabandhu started working to free every person from the curse of illiteracy in the hope of building a golden Bengal. To achieve this goal, the development activities of educational institutions get the highest priority in the social, economic development and annual development programs of Bangladesh. The Department of Education Engineering is playing an important role in the development of physical infrastructure, construction of new buildings, maintenance of existing buildings, construction / reconstruction, repair and renovation and provision of furniture. There are innumerable schools, colleges, madrasas, technical and other educational institutions scattered all over the country. Dedicated engineers and staff of this department are working relentlessly to create better infrastructure of educational institutions. Under Vision 2021, as part of building a digital Bangladesh, the Department of Education Engineering is constructing buildings with multimedia classrooms, ICT labs, internet connection, ICT facilities to spread up-to-date and quality education in the country's educational institutions.
